Grasshopper Pie

Summer calls for treats of the frozen variety! On my 25th birthday, we were vacationing in a hotel suite in Chattanooga, Tennessee with my parents. Without an oven to bake a cake, my husband invented this no-bake dessert. I loved it so much that we have it every year for my birthday!

Be creative—many ice cream/candy combinations are good!

Toppings!
 Ingredients:
15.25 oz. Package Oreos (about 30 cookies)
1.5 qt. + 1 c. Mint chip ice cream
½ c. Reese’s Pieces
½ c. Caramel sauce (6 oz.)
¼ c. Chocolate syrup
7.25 oz. Magic Shell chocolate topping

Directions:
1. Crush Oreos and spread on bottom of 9x13” pan.
2. Let the ice cream sit out of the freezer for a few minutes until the edges are soft. Cut ice cream into thick slabs and arrange on top of Oreos. Use 1 cup ice cream from a second container to fill in any empty space.

I’ve already put on 1.5 quarts of ice cream : 1 cup to go!

3. Drizzle caramel sauce and chocolate syrup over whole thing, then sprinkle on Reese’s Pieces.
4. Last, squeeze Magic Shell over the top.
5. Put back in the freezer to harden.
