I don’t remember becoming vegetarian. My longsuffering meat-eating parents tell me I was five years old when I decided that meat wasn’t for me, and I have never gone back. By the time I was a college senior, I loved to bake desserts, but not many main dishes. To impress my boyfriend (now husband) Ben, I cooked vegetarian chili. He married me anyway, eyes wide open to the fact that we would never be sharing steak for dinner. Now Ben and I have six children, and they consume little meat at home. I have accumulated many meat-free (and some dairy-free!) recipes that are delicious and fulfilling. We created this blog to help other families who contain a vegetarian or may be trying to eat “a little less meat”.
